Why Jokes?

Did you know that the worlds oldest joke can be traced back to 1900 BC? A joke is defined as words used in a specific way to generate amusement or laughter, but we think its so much more than that. Jokes can be a great way to cheer someone up and show them you care. Laughing at jokes can help relieve stress and lighten one’s mood. Telling jokes can be a great a way to break the ice with someone and can be a great pass time with family and friends of all ages. We simply love jokes!

Who is Izzy and Ezra?

As a mom of two young, picky readers, I wanted to find something my children would actually want to read. After much research and with the help of my kids, we came up with a wonderful collection of jokes that they absolutely loved. One day my daughter asked if I could make it into a book for other kids to enjoy and that’s when I decided to launch Izzy and Ezra books. I thought it only fitting to use my son and daughter’s nick name on the cover since they were the ones who inspired this journey in the first place.

Most Izzy and Ezra books have been specifically formulated for children ages 6-12. This joke book boasts an excellent compilation of over 200 kid friendly animal jokes. From pets to farm animals and fish to bugs, it has it all! Your children will also find fun and interesting facts to learn about animals in every category, large print for easy reading, engaging graphics and a surprise search and find at the end! I created these books with three main goals in mind: to encourage my kiddos to read more, to provide a technology free form of entertainment and last but certainly not least, to generate amusement and laughter! And who couldn’t use a little more laughter in their lives…I’m I right?
